A good sleeping bag should last you quite a long time if it is given proper care and treatment over the years. Some of the things to avoid with your sleeping bag; are excess sun, moisture, and of course sharp edges. Sharp edges and even shoes can rip holes in even the highest quality camping sleeping bags. Once a fabric is ripped it can be repaired but the overall integrity will go down. Excess moisture will encourage mold and mildew to grow in the filling of your sleeping bag so ensure that your sleeping bag is thoroughly dry before you go to store it when not in use. Excess sun can break down the fabric of your Coleman sleeping bag and this will make the structure less resistant to cuts and tears so try to keep the bag out of the sun as much as possible. With care you will enjoy your sleeping bag on many, many camping trips.
