No matter how hard you try and keep a synthetic sleeping bag clean it will inevitably get dirty enough that a cleaning is needed before you will want to sleep in it on your next camping trip. You can wash a synthetic bag in the wash on a gentle cycle with cool water and a very mild detergent. Also make sure that it is not a agitator type washing machine as this can damage the shell on the bag. Once washed tumble dry on a low setting and make sure the bag does not get too hot in the process by checking it frequently.
