Camping Dan's Outdoor Tips Posting Page
Thursday, December 4, 2008
If you have never been camping before than it would probably not be wise to head straight into the backcountry and start off on a backpacking camping trip. Like it or not until you know exactly what gear you need for the weather and how to operate your camping equipment too many things can make your trip miserable the farther you are from civilization. It is best to learn what sleeping accommodations work best for you from the tent to the sleeping bag. You also need to be familiar with your camping stove and water filter so that you know not only how to operate them but potentially repair them as well if the need arises. These skills and knowledge developed on car camping trips can make your backpacking excursions much more enjoyable.
