When we think of camping coolers we generally consider them to be used for keeping our food cold while we are away from home on a campout. But for those who live and camp in parts of the country where it gets really cold at night your Coleman cooler has another function that you may not be aware of. When it gets below freezing your drinks and food tends to freeze as well, but those which are tucked into a cooler will actually refrain from freezing. This means that in the morning you do not have to thaw out your water and beverages in order to have something to drink. Without your cooler keeping your drinks fluid you would have to either wait or thaw it out by boiling it.
