Sometimes even a new camping tent needs a little help to keep the water out when you get caught in a rain shower. Some brands come with their seams pre-sealed while other brands do not and for a camper there is really no way to know for sure if your new tent is seam sealed or not. I personally do not like to sleep in a wet tent therefore I always use a seam sealer on my new tent before I ever even use it. I then reapply it to the seams at the beginning of each camping season to make sure that my camping tent will be at its best when the weather is at its worse.
