Camping Dan's Outdoor Tips Posting Page
Wednesday, February 18, 2009
After a long winter I always enjoy doing a little spring-cleaning with my camping gear to ensure that my upcoming camping season goes as smoothly as possible and I enjoy many great trips into the backcountry. It is always a good idea to get out your sleeping bags and camping tents and air them out, make sure there are no holes, and maybe even seam seal that tent to prevent leaks. Open up the Coleman stove and lantern and make sure both are clean and that they light up right the first time after being put away for the past few months. By finding problems with your camping gear now instead of later when you are on your first trip you will not run into unexpected problems that can spoil your first outing.
