If you know someone who had camped for a long time and used a Coleman lantern as their lighting source, the chances are they still have the first one they bought and it works perfectly. With proper care and cleaning a Coleman propane lantern can last almost forever. Care is as simple as wiping clean with water and mild soap and storing the unit properly. To store remove the excess fluid to avoid lacquer build up and place it in a plastic bag that is securely closed with a twist tie. These steps will ensure that your Coleman lantern is ready to light up your camp on each and every outing you take.
