I used to love my two burner Coleman camping stove for cooking while my family was camping and I did not think it could get any better. I was so wrong, though the other camping grill still works great, the Coleman roadtrip grill is just so convenient to use! The road trip grill is easy to move from home to camp and home again and yet has a stand that makes cooking just as easy as if you were cooking out at your backyard grill. Plus with its griddle and other accessories you can make better than your average camping fare with ease.

It never fails if you use your camping tent often your tent stakes, which originally came with it, will start bending to the point they become hard to get into the ground. Luckily there are tent stakes available that are heavier and more durable to withstand being driven into the hardest, rockiest ground without bending. Next time you need to set up your tent in less than ideal conditions use these higher quality stakes and set up will be a breeze. These tent stakes are just a part of the long list of available tent accessories from Coleman camping gear.

I know when people hear the name Coleman they immediately think about camping gear. But Coleman also makes some fun inflatable pool toys for use in the home pool and even at the lake. These comfortable inflatable lounge chairs and floating islands are great for relaxing around the pool on a hot summer day. Coleman even has floating drink holders and inflatable slides to make the day in the sun more fun and enjoyable for the whole family. Plus the inflatables are easy to inflate with Coleman air pumps and are made to last for not just this summer but many summers of fun in the sun.

A great way to spice up your camping dinner fare is by getting some fun new pots, pans, and camping cookware. Having a new set of cookware made just for camping can make cooking outside so much easier and can inspire you to create dishes you may have thought too complicated to do in the outdoors. One of our personal favorites is stir fryed vegetables. By pre-cutting my vegetables and bringing them along in a ziplock bag all I have to do is add a little oil to my Camp Chef camping wok and cook it over an open fire or on the camping grill. It is a healthy and convenient meal for our trips outdoors.

We are quickly approaching the dog days of summer when camping trips need to be by a water source to be bearable under the heat of the sun during the day. A great way to add some fun to these trips is with a Coleman inflatable kayak. These easy to transport and use kayaks are a lot of fun to use on lakes while camping with your friends and family. Explore the narrow channels of the lake, fish in the hot spots with ease, or just paddle around and see the wildlife from these handy inflatable boats from Coleman camping gear.

If you are like me you have seen many people hiking who are carrying one or two what looks like ski poles. At first this baffled me, but eventually I was having a trail conversation with one of these individuals so I got curious and asked. These were actually hiking poles or trekking poles as some may call them. Either way the point of the pole is to help the hiker maintain balance and remove some of the stress from the knees, especially when hiking in hilly country. These poles come in aluminum or carbon fiber so that they are exceptionally strong yet very lightweight for the hiker to carry.

Coleman not only makes some of the best camping gear available, but also some great products for tailgate parties and backyard barbeques. Of course the center of any of these types of gatherings is the food and the drink, which your guests enjoy over good conversation. A Coleman Road Trip grill works great for tailgate parties, picnics, and even in your own backyard. Since you are not using charcoal to cook, you can get cooking much faster by not having to wait for the coals to heat up. While you get the food cooked your guests can enjoy cold drinks from a Coleman backyard cooler. These coolers are not only handy, but look really good with stainless steel tubs and rust resistant stands. Enjoy your next get together with useful Coleman products.

If you have problems getting to sleep and staying asleep when you are camping you should consider looking into one of the many Coleman air mattresses available to make camping so much easier. These inflatable air mattresses are easy to transport to and from camp and blow up quickly with a Coleman air pump. You will be hard pressed to find a more comfortable camping mattress, these are so good you might even think you are home in your own bed. Plus as an added bonus having a air mattress around the home can be very handy when you have extra company spend the night and need some extra beds for people to sleep in.

It is so very important to stay hydrated when you are hiking in the outdoors and the best way to keep proper hydration is to drink even when you are not thirsty. If you keep a water bottle or camping canteen handy then you will be more likely to continually sip your water throughout the day to avoid dehydration. Coleman camping gear has some very easy to carry and use water bottles for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts and some even have built in camping water filters so that if you need to refill on the go your water will be treated for potentially harmful bacteria which can make you sick.

It always makes me sad to hear of lost hikers in the wilderness who were depending on a gps alone to guide them safely out of the woods again. The art of reading a map and compass definitely seems to be going by the wayside as people become more and more dependent on technology. Many hikers now head out without a map of the area they are visiting let alone a decent magnetic compass to back up their gps unit in case of failure. Of course most of the time this is not an issue, but not having camping survival gear with you can one day cost you more than most hikers realize.

If you ever go camping in the middle of summer you really can understand how nice it is once you get to a shower so you can wash up. The dirt, sweat, and grim can leave you feeling pretty icky and ruin a great camping trip. You no longer have to wait until you get home though to have a cool refreshing shower to recharge your body. A Coleman camp shower makes taking a quick shower convenient and easy all you need is to fill the bag with water and hang it from a tree or lantern post. Add some camping personal care items such as biodegradable soap and you will have no reason to go home anymore.

One of our favorite pieces of our Coleman camping gear is the inflatable boat we take with us to lakes whether they are big or small. The fun boats are easy to inflate with Coleman air pumps and pack down easily for transport and storage. Owning a boat can be so expensive and you are stuck trying to find a place to put it when not in use. But with Coleman inflatable boats we can paddle around the lakes while camping just to relax or even to fish and there is no expense or hassle when we are not using it.

Camping can be a great family activity and a whole lot of fun, but if your camp is not comfortable it can really put a damper on your trip. Having a good place to prepare your meals is absolutely essential; because without camping tables it never fails you get dirt in your food and that is no good. Coleman camping tables and kitchen stations are the perfect solution for easy cooking around camp. These tables are lightweight, durable and fold up for easy transport, yet are simple enough to set up and take down anyone can do it.

When many backpackers think about packs they think about those top dollar name brand models that can cost hundreds more than other brands and really most of that cost is for the name. Coleman camping gear has been around for a very long time and have tested their gear and refined it over the years to be some of the best in the outdoor industry. Coleman backpacks are no exception! These comfortable, long lasting packs can haul your gear over the longest of hikes and you will be more than happy with the performance. With the money you save maybe you can afford to take a longer vacation this year to enjoy your pack even more.

My favorite sleeping bags for summer camping are mild rated synthetic filled bags since with these models I do not get too hot during the night as I do with sleeping bags that are rated for slightly colder temps to help your stay warm. These simple bags are usually lightweight and on very warm nights I sometimes unzip them completely and just use them as a blanket while I sleep on my camping pad for comfort. If you do not want to own two sleeping bags and you feel this will not be enough for colder temps in the spring and fall you can always add a inexpensive liner which will add more warmth for those times of year.

If you manage a summer softball or baseball team nothing can be more useful and environmentally friendly than a Coleman beverage cooler. Having your team use commercially available bottled water creates all those empty bottles, which end up in a city landfill and take forever to break down. Coleman coolers are a great solution for hydrating your team and helping the environment all at the same time. Plus if you figure in the money saved by using tap water over expensive bottled water, the team can afford a great pizza party at the end of the season to celebrate.

An easy way to extend the life of your camping tents and help them to last longer is by using footprints with them when camping. A tent footprint is a spacer between your tent and the ground that will help protect it from potential damage that rocks, sticks, and whatever else that may be under it when you set it up. Usually made of ripstop nylon and cut to fit your tents exact design these footprints do amazingly well at minimizing the impact the ground plays on the bottom of your camping tent extending its life and usability for more camping trips and less chance of annoying holes and damage.

Camping cookware has come a long way in the past few years to be much nicer than the heavy skillets and pans that your parents used on their trips into the outdoors. New exotic metals such as titanium and aluminum are now being used to create camping kitchen products that are more durable than what was available in the past yet even stronger than those old camping pots and pans. Leaders such as Coleman and GSI Outdoors make camping cook sets that are so nice you may catch yourself wanting to use them at home as well.
