Backpacking requires lighter gear that is that does not sacrifice dependability in order to weigh less on the users back. The biggest challenge for most backpackers is to find a camping tent that will keep them and their gear warm and dry in the most inclement weather yet will not take up a lot of space in their backpacks. There are many lightweight tents available from top manufacturers such as Coleman and Big Agnes that are more than capable of fitting these special demands of being effective in the backcountry and feather light for carrying in on the hike.

As hard as it is to believe but summer is quickly coming to an end and the kids are getting ready to head back to school in some areas in less than one month. That means football season will be starting in less than one month and that means tailgate parties. Whether it is on the high school, college, or even pro level there is nothing like tailgating before the game. Be the hit of the party this year by getting a Coleman Road Trip grill to serve up the tailgaters with ease whether it is a home or away game.

Cooking over an open fire can place extreme demands on your cookware so if you camp often you may want to consider cookware made by campers for campers. Camp Chef makes a lot of great cookware and cook stoves for the camper who wants to eat more than just hot dogs and s’mores on their campouts. Their cast iron pans and skillets makes cooking out over a campfire much easier and they are built to last so you won’t need to get new cookware every other year to make your favorite foods outside.

Many camping tent manufacturers do not really back up the product they sell and will leave you in the cold if you need any help with their product. Luckily this is not the case with Coleman tents or any other of the great Coleman camping products. I have always had great luck with my Coleman tents but sometimes accidents happen. For example tent poles can have accidents and get broken. Some tent makers do not sell replacement poles, but if you accidentally break your Coleman tent poles you can get replacements and continue to enjoy your tent for a whole lot longer.

Something I have always wanted to do is smoke my own meat and make my own jerky. There has to be some satisfaction when you are hiking down a trail eating your own jerky that you not only made yourself, but flavored to your exact tastes whether that is teriyaki or even spicy. Camp Chef has a great line of smokers which are easy to use and take up very little space so that you can cure your own meats at home. Whether you raise your own animals, hunt for food, or just want to flavor up something you got at the grocery store these smokers can get the job done right.

Summer time is not the best time to find out your cooler does not keep your food and drinks cold. Having drinks that are not cold to drink is bad enough, but the potential for food borne illnesses from food that was not kept properly cooled is even worse. Make sure you have a dependable camping cooler to handle your stuff on your next camping trip or picnic. The consequences of using a cooler, which does not effectively keep your food cool, can be a high price. Look for quality coolers such as those by Coleman and Igloo to make sure you are getting the best cooler for your money and you know you will be able to depend on it to keep things the right temperature.

Camping would just not be the same without a fire for sitting around in the evening talking and roasting marshmallows. Of course depending on where you go camping this may not be an option. Some campgrounds do not allow fire rings to be built while some locations there is no firewood to be found. Either way the only option for a fire in camp is by using a fire pit you brought from home. Camp Chef has a great solution for these times with their gas powered fire rings. These are perfect for having a fire while still following the rules and regulations of the most areas you find yourself camping in.

Over the years my personal camping trips have gone from just my husband and myself, to now our children and even their friends. Needless to say when I cook our meals I am cooking for a small army. A regular 2 burner camping stove no longer is big enough for all the food I have to cook. Luckily there are Camp Chef stoves big enough to handle my needs. These 3 and 4-burner camping stoves are just what I need to serve up enough dinner to feed several hungry campers after a long day of hiking in the outdoors.

I have owned several tents over the years from many manufacturers and even various tent styles. Of them all I always feel like I can count on the Coleman tents the best. Coleman dome tents have always proven to be one of the most versatile and dependable camping tents I have owned. With easy setup and take down these tents have been easy to use either in Moab or in the Rockies. Plus unlike other tents they are truly roomy enough to shelter as many people as they claim and even have room enough to bring in some gear in case it is raining outside.

Camping with the entire family is a great way to spend time together and unplug your kids from the electronics that take up their lives. Of course you want them to be comfortable when they camp, yet you want them to stay safe. Camping lanterns have always been a little dangerous for a kid to use on their own. Luckily Coleman camping gear has come up with lanterns for kids. These lanterns are battery operated and contain no glass, which can break, and yet they provide plenty of light for kids. This is just one of the many Coleman kids products available to make camping more fun for the younger ones.
